Popular and classic cultural Mustang trek

(Available from third week of march to November)

Day 1Arrival day in Katmandou.
According to your arrival time and level of energy, possibility of brief orientation walk in town.
Day 2
Swayambhunath, Bauddha and Patan.
Spend a night in Bhaktapur Durbar Square observing the locals in their daily prayers and activities. Discover the traditional wood carving and pottery making in Pain and Bhaktapur. Relax while enjoying a typical meal and show.
Day 3Road transfer to Pokhara. Exploration of Pokhara, a nice and quiet little town by the lake side, boat ride on Phewa lake.
Day 4
After breakfast drive to Tatopani by 4wd jeep. Enjoy the natural hot spring and overnight stay.
Day 5
Jeep drive to Kagbeni through the world’s Deepest Georges, stop at Marpha village for lunch and visit the unique ethnic village and monastery.
Back to another stretch of drive going to Kagbeni via Jomsom.
With chance, you may witness monks’ prayers in a monastery. Explore around the more than 500 years old walled constructions that our specialized guide will help you appreciate its history and some of the myths of the region.
Day 6
After breakfast drive to Samar village, visit monastery and village. Homestay night allowing you to have a direct and closed contact with locals.
Day 7
Drive to Dhakmar village via Ghiling and Ghami spend one night at local basic tea house.Visiting around this very interesting place you’ll observe the culture and people lifestyle as well as the wonderful ancient Sky Caves and let yourself be totally immersed by such strong traditions and powerful landscape.
Day 8
Drive to Lo-Manthang. Exploration of Tsarang and Ghar Gumba villages. Overnight homestay. Spend quality time with local while experiencing their way of life. Evening visit of royal palace and monasteries in wall city.
Day 9
Horse riding to Chhoser area to explore ancient monasteries, 5 story caves, village and more, overnight at chhoser.
Day 10
After breakfast drive to Korala (Nepal Tibet border to observe the mass territory of Tibet China) then drive back to Yara village spend a night at a tea house.
Day 11
Hiking or horseback riding to Gharagaon, Luri gumba cave monastery, Tashi Kabum, and other man made caves in this area. Overnight at a tea house/ home stay (according to availability).
Day 12
Drive to Chuksang village overnight at a guest house. There are many sky caves on cliff and typical villages farming lands in the middle of desert…to observe in the area.
Day 13
Drive back to Pokhara overnight at hotel, dinner with typical Nepali cultural show.
Day 14
Free day in Pokhara for self-sightseeing, shopping and paragliding, horseback riding and other activities.
Day 15
Drive back to Kathmandu. End of services.

Note:
This trek that can be prolonged on request when booking. We can arrange a stay in a Nepal monastery or add any tour to India. As most flights to Delhi are cheaper than to Katmandou, we recommend you to book accordingly. We can assist you with you with airport transfert upon arrival and departure to and from Delhi, make you hotel reservation and help you adjust to local time with a day or two of exploration around before going to Katmandou where our services in this tour start.
