- Day 1
Arrival day in KatmandouAccording to your arrival time and level of energy, possibility of brief orientation walk in town.
- Day 2
Swayambhunath, Bauddha and PatanSpend a night in Bhaktapur Durbar Square observing the locals in their daily prayers and activities. Discover the traditional wood carving and pottery making in Pain and Bhaktapur. Relax while enjoying a typical meal and show.
- Day 3
After breakfast, transfert to Pokhara by road. Explore Pokhara, a nice and quiet little town by the lake side. - Day 4
Jeep drive to Tatopani. Enjoy natural hot spring. Overnight stay at the lodge. - Day 5
Jeep drive to Kagbeni through the world’s Deepest Georges, stop at Marpha village for lunch and visit the unique ethnic village and monastery.Back to another stretch of drive going to Kagbeni via Jomsom.
With chance, you may witness monks’ prayers in a monastery. Explore around the more than 500 years old walled constructions that our specialized guide will help you appreciate its history and some of the myths of the region.
- Day 6
After breakfast drive to Samar village, visit monastery and village. Homestay night allowing you to have a direct contact with locals. - Day 7
Drive to Dhakmar village via Ghiling and Ghami spend one night at local basic tea house.Visiting around this very interesting place you’ll observe the culture and people lifestyle as well as the wonderful ancient Sky Caves and let yourself be totally immersed by such strong traditions and powerful landscape. - Day 8
Drive to Lo-Manthang. Spend some quality time with local for three nights during Tiji festival, the most interesting festival of Mustang. - Day 9
Opening of Tiji festival where you’ll assist to many cultural shows by monks. Get your camera ready – along with extra batteries! - Day 10
Second day of Tiji festival. - Day 11
Closing ceremony of festival with different ritual activities by monks. Drive to Chhoser area . Overnight at tea house. - Day 12
After breakfast explore the 5 stairs Jhong cave, its monastery and admire the incredible landscape of Mustang. Drive to Yara village to spend the night at a tea house. - Day 13
Hiking to Gharagaon, Lurigumba cave monastery, TashiKabum, and visit other man made caves of the area. Overnight at a tea house/ home stay (according to availability) - Day 14
Drive to Chuksang village overnight at a guest house. There are many sky caves on cliff and typical villages farming lands in the middle of desert…to observe in the area. - Day 15
Drive to Tukuche via Muktinath. After visiting this temple and village drive back to Tukuche overnight at typical tea house. Tukuche is a best ethnic village where Thakali people live. - Day 16
Drive back to Pokhara overnight at hotel, dinner with typical Nepali cultural show. - Day 17
Free day in Pokhara for self-sightseeing, shopping and paragliding, horseback riding and other activities. - Day 18
Drive back to Kathmandu. End of services.
Note:
This trek that can be prolonged on request when booking. We can arrange a stay in a Nepal monastery or add any tour to India. As most flights to Delhi are cheaper than to Katmandou, we recommend you to book accordingly. We can assist you with you with airport transfert upon arrival and departure to and from Delhi, make you hotel reservation and help you adjust to local time with a day or two of exploration around before going to Katmandou where our services in this tour start.
