The spirit of yoga and the sacredness

From the foot of the Himalaya where mother Ganga emerges in Gangotri to the the Kangra region at an altitude of 2,082 meters, this incursion enters into sacred lands. Lands where Indian and Tibetan traditions decline their wisdom through meditative yogic and Buddhist practices, philosophical humanist teachings and transmission of traditional cultural heritage. This tour is an incursion into the self through the other. The other that can be others, other people, other lifestyles, other ways of doing and being, other perspectives…so much wealth bringing us back to the essentials, to a natural beauty and kindness state.

This special tour offers the perfect opportunity to take time for yourself. It is designed to promote union with oneself, one’s soul, nature and others. A moment to catch your breath or, to take a new breath. A serene break from a hectic, demanding lifestyle in which it is too easy to lose sight of oneself.

A tour during which we will stay in a peaceful place set back from the more active village. A place where it feels good to stop time for a moment and connect with the sacred, spiritual and ancient philosophies of India. To get in touch with a humanist approach set beyond any religious dogma boundaries.

A journey on the path of balance including sightseeing visits, some contrasts to be experienced between Delhi the Hectic, Rishikesh the sacred and McLeod the Buddhist and Tibetan.

A route out of many usual touristic sites, but during which introspection flows naturally. Discoveries, surprises, meeting with touching people and exceptional beings awaits you.

One month to connect with yourself. Two weeks of retreat including daily yoga asana sessions. Weeks with a number of philosophical teachings with great masters, moments of self-awareness workshop and focus on one’s true essence. This essence or being who is often suffocated under thick layers of societal obligations leading to states of stress that are difficult to control. A return to oneself and a deep connection with the best part of the self. UNION with the noble dimension of being, that which gives a feeling of peace, joy, lightness, vitality and a sense of satisfaction.

Wether for the pure pleasure of discovery, to offer yourself a resting pose in order to regain its vigour, to seize the privilege of doing yoga with the people of the country of origin or because the soul feels a call to turn to a much more spacious dimensions in itself, this circuit offers a moment for the breath of life. This breath that is like a caress for the soul and which gives a deep meaning to all things.

Day 4

Road to Rishikesh
Made famous in 1968 with the arrival of the Beatles who came to learn to meditate, this place quickly became a magnet attracting people in search of spirituality. Considered one the 7 holy cities of India, it offers a very wide range of spiritual practices but also its part of new age trend activities.

Rishikesh, the city of the rishis, the holy men, is the gateway to the Himalayas and the place where the sacred gang river originates from the Bhagirathi river in Gangotri. It’s fast moving moving waters are much clearer than those to the south of its course of some 3,000 km.

To entre Rishikesh is to enter the heart of a world of temples, ashrams, pilgrimage, philosophical and spiritual practices of all sorts. It also means being at the crossroads of backpackers, trekkers, hippies, rafting and bungee adventurers. People who live there for several months or years affectionately speak of it as « the village ». A spécial atmosphere reigns there and for those who let themselves be lulled by the flow, an intimate contact with themselves can emerge in a very interesting way. The omnipresence of ashrams, temples, sadhus, yogis, booksellers offering an array of books on spirituality and followers of all path of disciplines touches the sacred in the self and inspires great respect for this dimension we all carry.
